Update on Phase 2 season ticket options for next season

TICKETS | Chairman Provides Update

The club is delighted to confirm that over 10,000 supporters have already renewed their season tickets for the 2021/22 season.

The second phase of sales, applicable to season ticket holders from the 2019/20 season who did not renew their seat, and 2020/21 season ticket holders who requested a full refund, will now commence from Monday, May 24.

Contrary to some reports, there will be no increases in price, with tickets offered at the same early bird price available in the first phase of renewals.

However, supporters are respectfully advised that the club is currently awaiting confirmation from the Government and Public Health England on the exact capacity we will be able to accommodate at Turf Moor for the 2021/22 season, with the club anticipating fixtures could take place with a limited capacity to ensure social distancing measures.

At this stage, the club is therefore unable to guarantee season tickets to the 4,000 supporters who are waiting to secure their seats in the second phase of sales.

To avoid further disappointment and refunds to these supporters, no payments in full will be taken at this time.

From Monday, May 24, qualifying supporters will be able to place a refundable £10 deposit to confirm their interest in purchasing a season ticket, with the club then able to process these applications as soon as a return to full capacity is confirmed.

Should the club be unable to accommodate all requests due to Government restrictions, then a fair ballot process will be held.

Chairman Alan Pace said: “Unfortunately, it is still too early for us to know exactly how the roadmap out of lockdown will continue, and the number of spectators we can safely accommodate at Turf Moor, especially for the opening games of the season.

“That is why we have adopted a phased season ticket renewal process. The challenge we face as a club is managing the high demand for tickets with the potential for a reduced capacity, and significant changes to the usual seating arrangements.

“Clearly, while we would love to be able to accommodate everyone who wants to buy a season ticket, we do need to respect Government guidelines and the expectation that it may be some time before we can reach our capacity.

“We believe this is therefore the fairest way to ensure all those previous season ticket holders have an opportunity to secure a seat, whilst not taking funds off them for something we may sadly be unable to deliver.”

Burnley Football Club today announces plans to welcome supporters back to Turf Moor, following confirmation we can host a limited number of spectators for the final home game of the season against Liverpool.

The club is permitted to allow up to 3,500 home fans to attend the Premier League fixture, which takes place on Wednesday, May 19 (8.15pm KO).

A ticketing ballot will be held over the coming days, with all supporters who retained their season ticket for the 2020/21 season, and have subsequently renewed for the 2021/22 season, eligible to enter.

All tickets will be free of charge, with the club encouraging successful ticket holders to consider a donation to NHS Charities Together.

Chairman Alan Pace said: “This fixture is opportunity to reward our loyal season ticket holders who have shown incredible support to the club throughout the pandemic.

“We have therefore decided to make tickets for this fixture free of charge. If supporters are able to, the club is encouraging successful applications in the ballot to consider making a donation to the NHS charities.”

Following Government guidelines, there are no postcode limitations for the ballot, which will commence via the ticketing website, at 9am on Saturday, May 8 and run until midnight on Tuesday, May 11.

To ensure the safety of all supporters, and ensure compliance with track and trace measures, a number of personal details will be requested when applying for tickets, with all applications needing to be handled through the club’s Single Sign On (SSO) facility.

In their ballot application, supporters will be able to apply once individually, or once in a group of up to six eligible season ticket holders. Those who you wish to apply with must be linked to your account through the ‘Friends and Family’ tool. Successful applicants will have all requested tickets allocated in this grouping, although social distancing rules will apply in the stadium.

Successful applicants will be contacted via email by 5pm, Friday May 14.

Unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.

Seventy two hours before the game, successful applicants will then be able to log in to their account and claim their e-tickets. At this point you will also be requested to complete a mandatory health questionnaire and agree to an updated supporter code of conduct.

The James Hargreaves, Jimmy McIlroy and Bob Lord stands will be in operation, although it will not be possible to guarantee your usual seat and you may be allocated seating that is not in your chosen stand.

Ensuring compliance with all social distancing requirements, supporters will be asked to go straight to their allocated seats and wear face masks throughout their time in the stadium. Staggered exit times will also be in place following the game, which will be relayed on the night.

Season ticket holders who normally sit in the accessible stands should enter the main ballot, as should registered disabled supporters who sit in general admission with only the registered disabled supporter needing to apply. Should your application be successful, you will be contacted by the club’s disability liaison officer who will provide accessible seating and ensure your needs are met in one of the accessible stands or pitchside platforms.

Unfortunately, due to a reduced capacity, the club is unable to offer hospitality for this fixture. There will be no catering available within the stadium.

PLEASE NOTE: The Burnley v Liverpool ticket ballot has now closed. Thank you to all supporters who entered. Successful applicants will be notified via email by 5pm on Friday, May 14.

This game will be fully e-ticket, with your match ticket delivered by email or via the Burnley FC official mobile app.

The SSO Support Form has now closed to allow the club to focus on all those supporters who have entered the ballot.

FAQ's: Single Sign-On (SSO)

Historically, we have had a number of different websites for supporters to use all with their own log-in sections; including tickets, retail, and Clarets Player/Clarets+ via the main club website.

Your new Burnley FC account creates a Single Sign-On login, so you have the ability to link all your accounts together to get everything Burnley FC from one email address and password.

The process for returning to watch football at Turf Moor post COVID will be very different.

To adhere to recommended guidance and for the health and safety of supporters, we are moving towards purely digital ticketing.

This means your season ticket and future match tickets will only be uploaded to your SeasonCard, emailed to your registered email address (for print at home or display on a mobile device on matchday) or via the new ‘ticket wallet’ in the Burnley FC club app (available on Apple Store or Google Play Store).

Paper tickets will no longer be used at Turf Moor.

As a first step your Burnley FC account gives you easy access to everything at the club under one Single Sign-On login. Your future tickets will be available digitally in the best way to suit you, either via the mobile app, email to home or upload to your seasoncard.

By next season we also hope to introduce ‘Club Cash’ which allow you to use any loyalty points you build up to be used at various points including to purchase tickets, purchase retail in-store and online, matchday concourse purchases as well as discounts from club partners.
