The Clarets will have six senior players on international duty as the road to the 2022 World Cup begins for the European nations.
The opening qualifying games in the European groups for the World Cup Finals in Qatar take place during the up-coming international break.
And half-a-dozen Burnley players will be looking to add to their caps and help their countries to a positive start.
Goalkeeper Nick Pope is included in the England squad and could get the nod to start the qualifying campaign for Gareth Southgate’s side in place of the injured Jordan Pickford.
The Everton number-one sustained an abdominal muscle injury during the Clarets’ 2-1 win at Goodison Park last Saturday and is replaced in the squad by West Bromwich Albion’s Sam Johnstone.

Pope’s goalkeeping colleague at Turf Moor – Bailey Peacock-Farrell – is in the Northern Ireland squad which will be looking to try and reach the finals for the first time since 1986.
Burnley’s Republic of Ireland duo of Robbie Brady and Kevin Long are named in Stephen Kenny’s squad for their three fixtures.
And club-mates Matej Vydra and Johann Berg Gudmundsson have also been called up by their countries for their World Cup openers.
Striker Vydra is in the Czech Republic squad for their three qualifiers.

Meanwhile, at Under-21 level, Clarets’ wideman Dwight McNeil is in the England squad for the group stages of the European Championships to be held in Hungary and Slovenia.
