The 16-year-old, who has played the majority of the season for the U23s despite being a first-year scholar, was called up to the England U17 squad last month, but missed out due to a minor injury.

But the forward, who has featured in seven out of the nine U23 fixtures this season, will travel to Spain next week, where the Three Lions have three matches scheduled, all being played at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia.

The U17s will come up against Germany twice in three days, the first match is on Thursday 10th October, with the second being played on Saturday 12th October.

Before finally, facing Spain on Monday 14th October, before heading back to England on Tuesday 15th.

Manchester-born Richardson, who was named among the substitutes for Sean Dyche's side against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup, has been at the Clarets’ Academy since the age of nine and having signed a full-time scholarship deal in the summer is a regular member of Steve Stone's U23 squad.
