Burnley opened the scoring at Hemel Hempstead's Vauxhall Road stadium through Chris Conn-Clarke, before Palace equalised deep into first-half stoppage time.

However, Philliskirk’s youngsters pushed until the final minutes and were rewarded as George poked home the winner with seconds to go, to give the home side a taste of their own medicine.

The Clarets started on the front-foot and came close early on, as a well-worked throw-in found its way to Ben Woods, who struck an effort towards goal, before Eagles defender Cardo Siddick blocked the strike in-front of the line.

But as the visitors slowly grew into the game, their well-deserved goal came, as Conn Clarke, who was recently called up for Northern Ireland U19s this week, curled in a corner which took a deflection on the way to give Burnley the lead.

And just as it looked like the away side were heading into the break with the lead, Palace struck.

A brilliant block on the line by Edon Pruti unfortunately fell into the path of the Palace forward, who slammed home to pull the scores level, seconds before the break.

Half-time saw the introduction of midfielder Dylan Moonan, who replaced striker Joe McGlynn, with Corey Brennan shifting into a more advanced role.

And the Clarets came close to a second just after the hour mark, as Conn-Clarke rattled the post with a fierce strike from distance.

The visitors were playing some excellent football and again had the chance to take the lead, as Matty Rain whipped in a fine low cross for Brennan, who poked an effort just over the bar.

But Burnley were not backing down and got a well-deserved winner just before stoppage time, as Conn-Clarke fed in Rain down left, who fired a lovely cross into the area for George, before the striker slammed the ball in from close range to give Philliskirk’s side the lead, as they headed into added time.

And despite one last push from the home side, the Clarets held on and kept the Eagles at bay to secure all three points and back-to-back wins in the U18 Professional Development League.
