16 Clarets players are currently out on season-long loan deals across nine leagues and three countries, including the Premier League, Vanarama National League North & Belgian Pro League.
That tally includes nine players from the academy here at the Club, with Owen Dodgson this week helping Rochdale to three points in Sky Bet League Two. In the Championship meanwhile, Matt Lowton contributed to Huddersfield Town’s second successive maximum points haul.
Here’s a round-up of how the second eight loanees, in alphabetical order, have fared with their Clubs over the last week. Make sure to look out for ‘Loan Watch: Part One’ to keep up to date with how the other eight fared. 
Lukas Jensen (Accrington Stanley)
As with the two players mentioned above, Jensen is also embroiled in a relegation battle as Stanley look to avoid the drop in Sky Bet League One.

They didn’t have a game this week though with scheduled opponents Bolton Wanderers at Wembley winning the Papa John’s Trophy. The Danish goalkeeper will be back in action on Good Friday.

Luke McNally (Coventry City)
Centre back McNally returned to action after the international break at Coventry with a 4-0 home defeat to Stoke City on Saturday.
The Irishman has played every minute of the 12 games the Sky Blues have played since he joined them in January, and that was just a 2nd defeat in that period.

Matt Lowton (Huddersfield Town) 
Full-back Lowton and Huddersfield are in the relegation zone in the Championship, though it’s now only by the virtue of goal difference after a 4-2 victory against high-flying Middlesbrough at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

He came on in the closing stages against ‘Boro to help them see out the win having not been involved in the last four games.

Michael Mellon (Morecambe)
Striker Mellon is currently sidelined through injury, so missed Morecambe’s 5-0 defeat at Bobby Thomas’ Barnsley on Saturday. Talks remain ongoing regarding his loan arrangement.

Owen Dodgson (Rochdale)
Dodgson is hoping to help keep Dale in the Football League, and has missed only five minutes of action since joining the Sky Bet League Two club in January.

The full-back played the full 90 minutes in the capital on Saturday in a 1-0 success at AFC Wimbledon. He and Dale are now eight points off safety with seven games to play.

Sam Waller (Lancaster City)
Goalkeeper Waller has played every minute for Lancaster in the Northern Premier League’s Premier Division since joining them in October. 
The Dolly Blues lost 2-1 at Warrington Rylands on Saturday, and look to be set for a comfortable mid-table finish this season.

Will Norris (Peterborough United)
Norris’ promotion chances this season aren’t over yet, with Peterborough breaking into Sky Bet League One’s top six – on goal difference – after Saturday’s goalless draw at home against Oxford United.

It was a third consecutive clean sheet for the shot stopper, with the Posh now having lost only twice in their last 10.

Wout Weghorst (Manchester United)
Frontman Weghorst had a week of mixed fortunes, playing for both his nation and loan club.
The Dutchman played the full 90 minutes in Amsterdam last Monday as Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands side beat Gibraltar 3-0 in the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers, and then played 62 minutes of Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat at Newcastle United yesterday back at club level.
