Liverpool and Leeds Games Move for TV
Televised slots for two of the Clarets' opening three Premier League clashes
Burnley will kick off their 2021/22 Premier League season at home to Brighton and Hove Albion at 3pm on Saturday, August 14, following confirmation of the first televised fixtures.
The game has not been selected for live screening and will go ahead as planned.
However, the Clarets’ first away game of the season, at Liverpool, and the home game against Leeds United, have been provisionally moved for TV.
The trip to Anfield, where last season Burnley sensationally ended Liverpool’s proud 68-game unbeaten run, has been selected by BT Sport for Saturday, 21 August at 12.30pm.
Leeds’ trip to Turf Moor the following weekend, which had been set for Saturday, August 28, has now been moved to Sunday, 29 August at 2pm, live on Sky.
In addition, two of Burnley’s games in December are subject to change due to Europa League commitments.
The first of those is the away game at West Ham United on Saturday, December 11, which could move dependent on the Hammers’ European involvement.
The knock-on effect of that could affect Burnley’s home game against newly-promoted Watford, currently planned for Tuesday, December 14.
