Heading into this weekend’s Premier League encounter at home to Manchester City, Sean Dyche will welcome six players back from international duty, including goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, who reached 100 appearances for Wales on Tuesday night.
England: Goalkeeper Nick Pope kept a clean sheet and played the full match as England beat Ivory Coast by three goals to nil. The 29-year-old claimed his eighth cap for the Three Lions, seven of them being clean sheets, and he equalled Colin McDonald as Burnley’s most capped England goalkeeper.
Wales: A memorable night for fellow goalkeeper Hennessey as he won his 100th cap for Wales in their 1-1 draw against Czech Republic. Hennessey was presented with an award before the game by FAW President Steve Williams and Welsh goalkeeping legend Neville Southall. Wayne was named captain for the match. Meanwhile, Connor Roberts was an unused substitute after playing the full 90 minutes against Austria last Friday.
Republic of Ireland: Nathan Collins won the Man of the Match award in a 1-0 win over Lithuania. The 20-year-old centre back played the full 90 minutes for his country.
Ivory Coast: Maxwel Cornet played just over an hour in his country’s loss against England at Wembley. It was a difficult night for Ivory Coast, as they finished the game with ten men after Serge Aurier’s red card.
Netherlands: Wout Weghorst was an unused substitute in Netherlands’ 1-1 draw at home against Germany.
