The former England striker reaches the end of his short-term deal with at Burnley this summer.

And despite being limited to just six Premier League appearances either side of a spell out due to an appendix operation, Crouch has enjoyed being a Claret.

“It was really frustrating to have the operation when I had to, but it’s one of those things I suppose,” he told Clarets Player HD.

“I’ve enjoyed my time here. If that’s the end, I’m not sure, but I’ve really enjoyed being here.

“The lads are great, and the club is moving in the right direction.

“Thanks to everyone for letting me be a part of it in the second half of the season and we’ll see where we go from here.”

Each of Crouch’s appearances following his signing at the end of January came via the substitute’s bench and he was unable to claim a first goal in a Burnley shirt.

But the 38-year-old made an impact every time he featured as a useful extra attacking option for Sean Dyche’s side.

And despite an increasingly successful move into the media world, there remains the possibility that he could look to play on into a 20^th season.

"I haven’t made any decisions and the club hasn’t made any decisions,” added Crouch, who joined Burnley from Stoke City following previous successful spells with Spurs, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Southampton, Aston Villa and QPR.

“It’s one of those things where I’ll take stock and see where we are.

“I still feel fit and healthy. I know my age isn’t helping things, but I still feel good, so we’ll see.”

Crouch has fitted in well with the Clarets and Dyche will gauge his feelings once the dust has settled as he begins plotting for next season.

“I chatted with Peter the other day and it’s not just my decision; it’s also about him and his intention and whether he wants to carry on,” said the Burnley boss.

“I’ve never been bothered about age. It’s always been about whether you have that edge to your game, and I think he’s been very hungry,

“He’s also been very unfortunate with an injury, but he’s been superb for us and great around the group as well, so we spoke and I told him to forget about me and Burnley and think about himself first and we’ll see what happens over the summer.”
