Club hosts inaugural meeting for exciting new programme, The Hive

Burnley Football Club were delighted to launch the inaugural Hive meeting recently.

The Club held a call with all successful applicants to talk through the schedule, with the group also enjoying the opportunity to listen to Burnley FC’s Co-Chief Operating Officer, Mark Thompson before being able to ask questions.

The Hive, which was launched in September this year, aims to offer those looking to start a career in the sports industry the chance to learn more about a wide range of areas in football, from business operations to football performance.

The Club were thrilled with the response to the launch, with over 200 applications received and 31 applicants accepted onto the course.

Burnley FC's Co-Chief Operating Officer Mark Thompson said: "We are delighted to launch our first edition of The Hive, showcasing the vast array of roles in our Club and the industry. Hopefully through the initiative, we can find the next batch of stars to drive our business forward."

Through The Hive, the Club will be hosting a number of insight calls offering information on different parts of the business. Successful applicants will also be given the opportunity to be mentored by Burnley FC staff in a chosen area of the organisation that they have expressed an interest in.

In addition to this, the Club will host several experience days at Turf Moor, highlighting what goes on at a football club, including what goes on behind the scenes on a matchday. There will also be opportunities for The Hive applicants to be a part of exciting projects that the Clarets will be delivering moving forward.
