Brady hasn’t figured for Ireland so far this season.

But the Burnley winger – capped 45 times by his country – has been included in a 39-man provisional squad for games against New Zealand and Denmark next month.

Turf Moor team-mates Jeff Hendrick and Kevin Long have also been named by manager Mick McCarthy for the Dublin double-header.

Ireland face New Zealand, who are likely to be captained by Burnley striker Chris Wood if he has recovered from a hamstring strain, in a friendly on Thursday, 14 November.

And the Group D leaders then play Denmark in a decisive Euro 2020 qualifier on Monday, 18 November when a win is likely to be enough to take Ireland through to a place in the finals.

Brady - one of the heroes of Ireland's run to the last 16 of Euro 2016 in France - missed the early part of the campaign after suffering a cracked rib in pre-season.

But the 27-year-old returned to action last month and has since made one Premier League start and three substitute appearances to earn his return to the Ireland fold.
