Lee Grant signed for Burnley in July 2010, joining up with manager Brian Laws again after the pair first worked together at Sheffield Wednesday.

The 27-year old keeper returned to familiar surroundings after spending a short loan spell with the Clarets in 2005 when he made one appearance.

Grant started his career at Derby County, making his debut coming in for an injured Andy Oakes.

Grant soon displaced Oakes and was a regular between the sticks in the 2003-04 season as Derby successfully battled relegation from the Championship.

However the 2004-05 season did not start well for Grant and with the emergence of Lee Camp he found opportunities limited.

After spells out on loan at Burnley and Oldham, Grant, frustrated with a lack of first team football, left Derby at the start of the 2007-08 season and was quickly snapped up by Wednesday.

The former England U21 international soon established himself as the number one and he was a regular at Hillsborough, amassing over 100 appearances in his three year stay, before making the switch to Burnley.

After having to bide his time for a regular starting spot, Grant forced his way into side in October and enjoyed a run of 25 appearances before Brian Jensen regained his place for the run-in.

Grant started the 2011/12 season as Howe's number one choice.
