Harvey Proves Fitness In Friendly Run-Out

Posted on: Tue 31 Aug 2010

Alex-Ray Harvey made a successful comeback as Burnley's development squad played a behind-closed-doors friendly with Bolton Wanderers this afternoon (Monday).

Harvey (pictured right) played a part with the Clarets' first-team during pre-season before a knee injury kept him on the sidelines.

However, the midfielder successfully came through 90 minutes of the game at Euxton which Bolton won 1-0.

Michael King and Wes Fletcher, who both made their senior debuts in the Clarets' Carling Cup win at Morecambe last week, also figured alongside Alex MacDonald and Kevin Long.

"It was excellent to get them all a game and everyone did very well," said development squad and reserve-team coach Ashley Hoskin.

"We had the chances to win it but the pleasing thing was how well we played."

Burnley: Woodhead, Yadolahi, Long (Love), Lynch, Williams, MacDonald, Anderson, Harvey, King, Fletcher, Knowles.
