Brian Laws insists he will assess Chris Iwelumo's injury fully before making any last minute moves into the transfer market.

Scottish international Iwelumo will miss Scotland's upcoming double header against Lithuania and Liechenstein after suffering a hamstring injury late in the defeat to Swansea City.

And following initial medical checks - ordered by the Scottish national side - the Clarets striker will now return to Turf Moor and undergo a scan on Tuesday to assess the full extent of his injury.

Burnley boss Laws said: "We will have to assess what Chris is like, but we will be dictated to by the injuries in terms of any potential moves in the market."
