Clarets' keeper Brian Jensen expects Burnley to bounce back when they resume their Championship challenge after the international break.
Despite Jensen's efforts - including two potentially match-saving blocks - Burnley's unbeaten start came to an end with a 1-0 defeat at Swansea City.
Brian Laws' men now have two weeks to lick their wounds before the Lancashire derby with Preston at Turf Moor.
And Jensen believes the Clarets will be ready to raise their game when the battle re-commences.
"We started brilliantly with seven points from the first three games and maybe we were a little bit unfortunate not to get a draw today. But it's a long season and there's a long way to go," he said.
"I still believe we have a lot more to offer. I don't think we have got out of fourth gear yet.
"There are a few gears to go and I think we will come back stronger.
"Swansea are a good side and we won't be the only ones to have a bit of trouble here.
"We have to dust ourselves down and work on things for the next couple of weeks and come back stronger."

Brian Jensen kept Clarets in the hunt
Jensen was modest about his own performance as he twice denied Swansea match-winner Scott Sinclair.
But the 'Beast' admitted his heart was in his mouth when he had to dash from his penalty area to save with his feet early in the second half and keep Burnley in contention.
"I was dreading it to be fair," he said. "I had to get that ball. Everyone knows it could be vital but I made the right decision and got the ball.
"It was a great tackle and I'm a lot more relaxed now for sure."
Jensen was powerless to prevent Sinclair's early strike but having weathered a Swans' storm, Jensen thought Laws' men might nick a point.
"I thought we started well but then the next 20 or 25 minutes were a little disappointing and we probably could have been down a couple more," he added.
"But I thought we were back in the game at the end of the first half and then in the second half we kept possession a lot better and we were at least good enough to get a draw.
"But sometimes it goes for you and sometimes it doesn't. Perhaps it did go for us for a little spell at first but then it didn't when we were going the other way."
