Clarets To Face Bolton In Carling Cup

Posted on: Sat 28 Aug 2010

The Clarets will face Owen Coyle's Bolton at Turf Moor in the third round of the Carling Cup.

Brian Laws' men were paired with the Premier League club in the draw at lunch-time today (Saturday).

The tie will bring former Burnley boss Coyle back to Turf Moor for the first time since he quit the Clarets last January.

Burnley, who reached the semi-finals of the competition two years ago, beat Morecambe 3-1 at the Globe Arena last Tuesday night to advance to the last 32.
