Jack Cork will be on England under-21 duty again next month after earning his place in the Young Lions' squad to play two vital European qualifiers.

The on-loan Clarets' midfielder has retained his place in Stuart Pearce's 24-man squad for the double-header against Portugal and Lithuania.

England face Portugal in Barcelos on Friday, 3rd September before facing Lithuania at Colchester on Tuesday, 3rd September.

Pearce's talent-packed squad know they need to win both games to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for next summer's finals.

Cork figured in a friendly earlier this month and keeps his place after making the switch to Turf Moor for a second loan spell from Premier League champions Chelsea.
