Brian Laws is backing his strikeforce to start firing on all cylinders as he dismissed speculation linking the Clarets with a move for Cardiff City forward Ross McCormack.
Laws admits that Burnley are yet to fully click in the final third of the pitch, despite an impressive return of four points from their opening two games.
But Laws has faith in his current roster of frontmen to deliver the goods, rather than seek outside help.
"It's always in the back of your mind because you need to score goals to win games," said the Burnley boss.
"But I have got great belief in the players we have here and there are goals in them. We have just got to make sure we supply them with the right ammunition.
"It's all right having quality strikers but if you don't give them the service they thrive on it's highly unlikely they are going to score the goals you require and that's something we need to brush up on."
Laws added: "If we were actually giving them the right kind of service and they're not scoring then that would be a cause for concern and setting the alarm bells ringing and I would probably be looking to bring somebody else in.

Steven Thompson offers a striking option
"But as it stands I'm not looking to do anything immediately."
Championship clubs can make loan signings outside the transfer windows which means Laws will have the flexibility to strengthen his squad if he thinks it necessary as the season goes on.
But the Clarets HAVE scored in each of their first two games and with Steven Thompson, Jay Rodriguez and Martin Paterson all waiting to challenge or play alongside Chris Iwelumo in a central striking role, talk of a move for McCormack is wide of the mark.
"I can't stop those kind of rumours. There are a lot of people whose names will be thrown around and we will be used as a sounding board to see if they can create interest," said Laws.
