Young Clarets Get International Calls

Young Clarets' midfielder David Lynch has won an international call-up to the Republic of Ireland under-18 squad.

Lynch (right) has been selected to play in a six-team tournament in the Czech Republic running from 22-28 August.

The second-year scholar, 17, will be part of the Irish squad which faces Ukraine and the host nation in Group B, while Turkey, Slovakia and Hungary compete in Group A.

Meanwhile, new first-year striker Shay McCartan is currently in a week-long training camp with the Northern Ireland under-17 squad.
