Tigers Pounce To Snap Up Lynch

Posted on: Fri 13 Aug 2010

Young Clarets' defender Chris Lynch is poised to join Hyde United on a month's emergency loan.

Lynch (centre, right) is to move to the Blue Square North side for the chance of first-team football following his recovery from injury.

The 19-year-old missed most of last season with a knee injury sustained during a loan spell at Chester City which required surgery.

Lynch, who will play alongside Clarets' youth-team goalkeeping coach Craig Mawson at Hyde, is set to make his debut for the Tigers at Telford United tomorrow subject to the relevant paperwork being completed.

The central defender, who came through the centre of excellence at Turf Moor, agreed a new 12-month deal with the Clarets earlier this season.
