Brian Laws is confident the Clarets' goalkeeping fortunes are in safe hands as he prepares to wrap up a bit of globe-trotting transfer business.
Burnley have been thwarted in their bid to complete a long-term loan deal for their number-one goalkeeping target before heading off on tour to Singapore tomorrow.
Developments at the player's parent club means it looks likely to be the start of next week before the move is completed- while Laws is nearly 7,000 miles away in the Asia!
And with Diego Penny ruled out of the three-match tour through injury, Laws has happily recruited former Clarets' keeper Craig Mawson to provide cover for Brian Jensen.
"I would have liked to have had another goalkeeper in place before we went but hopefully the deal will be done while we are away and he will be ready for us when we get back," said the Burnley boss.
"Diego has picked up a bit of a thigh injury and we have to have a goalkeeping back-up for Brian Jensen so Craig Mawson has come in. He's part of the football club anyway and works with the goalkeepers.
"He is still playing so he will be the back-up for a short period and he's a nice guy as well, so we're pleased he's on the trip."

Diego Penny is missing through injury
Mawson started his playing career at Turf Moor and although he didn't make a senior appearance for the Clarets, his career CV shows close to 250 games for Morecambe, Hereford United and Halifax Town.
The 31-year-old has just signed for Blue Square North side Hyde United, combined with his coaching duties in the Centre of Excellence and youth set-up at Burnley.
With less than a month to go until the start of the season, the Clarets will step up their preparations in Singapore with Laws in no doubt about the value of the trip - on and off the pitch.
"We're looking for another three good games and it always seems to kick-start your season when you go away with the players. It bonds everybody together," he told Clarets Player.
"It's a great thing for us. The players do get bored of being in the same place, particularly when they are running.

"But when you take them into a different environment it does change the atmosphere.
"We can do a lot of work with them and have some bonding sessions, so it should be a great week."
Laws added: "We are also opening ourselves up to another market and I think it's great for Burnley Football Club to be going to Singapore.
"Our image will be spread all over and it's important for the football club that we don't just look on our doorstep, we can look globally and encourage new investment."
