Chris Eagles jets out to Singapore tomorrow and Burnley boss Brian Laws hopes the flying winger will stay around to help launch the Clarets' Championship challenge.
Eagles is part of a 24-man Burnley squad heading to Asia for a three-match tour after rejecting the chance of a move to Scottish Premier League champions Rangers.
And Laws plans further talks with the 24-year-old in a bid to keep him at Turf Moor.
"We know that his contract is running out," said Laws.
"There is a market value for a player and I know Chris wants to play at the highest level.
"All those issues are taken into account and we allowed him to talk to Glasgow Rangers.
"However, he has turned them down which is great news for us."

Chris Eagles remains a wanted man at Turf Moor
The Clarets' chief added: "He is on tour with us and let's see where we take it from there.
"It gives me another opportunity to talk to him and hopefully persuade him to stay at Burnley.
"However, everything will be in his hands and we have to abide with how he feels."
