Season Tickets: Update

Posted on: Mon 07 Jun 2010

Burnley Football Club can confirm that over 11,000 season tickets have now been processed for the 2010/11 season.

The Board of Directors are delighted with the response from supporters following the disappointment of relegation from the Premier League.

Chairman Barry Kilby and manager Brian Laws have both made clear the club's intention to push for an immediate return to the top flight - and the bookies have already installed Burnley as early favourites to bounce straight back!

Despite the club record sale of Steven Fletcher, a quintet of familiar faces have also backed the Championship challenge ahead.

Club captain Graham Alexander, defenders Clarke Carlisle and Michael Duff, striker Steven Thompson and goalkeeper Brian Jensen all signed new deals this summer, while fans' favourite Martin Paterson last week signed an extended contract committing himself to the club for three more years.

The signings of Hull midfielder Dean Marney and Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo - with the promise of more new faces to come - have also added strength to the squad.

And off the field Clarets fans have shown their support - with season ticket applications still being processed on a daily basis.

Burnley Football Club would like to thank you for your continued support.

We respectfully remind supporters that the deadline has now passed for anyone wishing to purchase season tickets on a payment plan.
