Burnley defender Danny Fox could be fit for Saturday's crunch clash with Wigan Athletic after his injury scare.

The former Celtic left back needed oxygen pitchside after suffering breathing difficulties and a suspected broken rib in the 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

But after a hospital check-up Fox has been given the all-clear and could now recover in time to face the Latics at the DW Stadium on Saturday.

Manager Brian Laws said: "I've spoken to Danny and he is settled and will aim to be fit for Saturday."
