Brian Laws is confident his Clarets have got the goal power to stay in the Barclays Premier League.
Burnley take on Stoke City at Turf Moor tonight looking for the win that will lift them out of the relegation places.
While victories have proved elusive in recent weeks the goals have still continued to flow.
Of the bottom six clubs only West Ham have scored more than the Clarets.
Burnley have failed to find the net only once in their last six games and Laws believes a continuation of that strike-rate can lead his side to safety.
"While we have still been losing games the one thing that is evident is that we can get goals and that means you are going into games feeling you can score," said the Burnley boss, who will give a late fitness test to top scorer Steven Fletcher.
"And if you've got that feeling and that confidence you know if you can keep it tight you have a hell of a chance of winning a game.
"If we've got goals in us and we carry that on we will maintain Premier League status."

The Clarets have breached most defences
The other half of the equation for success is keeping clean sheets and the Clarets will be striving for their first shut-out since the end of October against a Stoke side that's likely to bombard the penalty area at every opportunity.
Laws and his players have been working hard on the training ground to try and nullify that threat and get the result that would kick-start their survival mission and give the Clarets the chance to emulate Stoke's success in the Premier League.
"They have lost only once in the league this year, at home or away. That's incredible. You wouldn't have thought that about Stoke City," Laws added.
"It just shows how far they've come in a short space of time so they will be tough opposition, but we can overcome them for sure.
"If we defend the set-plays well we've got a great chance because I believe we can get the ball on the floor and open them up."
Tickets for tonight's game will be available up to kick-off from the Turf Moor ticket office.
