Midfielder Kevin McDonald insists all the squad are fired up and ready for battle, with a crucial series of home fixtures on the horizon which could determine Burnley's fate this season.

The Clarets also have five of the bottom eight still left to play and the Scot is confident the team have enough in their locker to win their battle for survival, with home form sure to be a key factor in the club's fortunes.
"It's been a while since we have played at home and it's good to have the fans backing here," insisted McDonald.
"We need to put in a good performance on Saturday to get back to winning ways.
"Hopefully we can pick up our home form. We are playing the teams around us which we need to beat but we are quietly confident and we'll see what the outcome is.
"The form at the start of the season has helped our position, but we know what we need to do to get out of here.
"We need to play well and try to score goals which have been a problem recently. Hopefully that will sort out.
"It's good to be playing regularly and it's nice to go away with the Scotland lads who I used to play with before.
"It's amazing to play in the best league in the world at such a young age, there is nothing else I would rather be doing.
"Everyone is enjoying playing here because we all want to be at the top level. Hopefully if we get a few wins we can still be here next season."

Struggling Portsmouth make the long trip North to Turf Moor for Saturday's clash, the first of seven games in which the Clarets will be hoping to build on their impressive home record.
The South Coast club's financial off-field problems have been well-documented, but McDonald knows there can be no complacency and is expecting a tough battle against Avram Grant's side, regardless of their plight.
"It's a big game but so is every match. Every game is a battle especially amongst the relegation teams, but hopefully our footballing skills will see us through," added McDonald.
"I would imagine the Portsmouth players will be up for it, no matter what position they are in.
"You can never rule Portsmouth out, we know it will be a hard game, but we have to try and get a win.
"We have been in and out of the relegation zone and just one or two wins can get you out of it.
"We are confident it will come, we just need to be patient.
"Nobody likes to lose games, when you play in this top league you have to at times, but we are battling away.
"It's been hard and I can imagine it will only get harder as the season goes on.
"We just have to knuckle down and get to work."
