The Clarets' big game against ailing Portsmouth on Saturday has attracted massive media interest.
And fittingly the voice of football will be describing the action from the commentary box as John Motson makes a long-awaited return to Turf Moor.
Motson will be on Match of the Day duty at a Burnley home game for the first time in 35 years.
The Clarets' absence from top-flight football has kept them off Motson's schedule but the legendary commentator is relishing his return following a gentle nudge from club chairman's wife Sonya Kilby.
Motson revealed: "Over the last five or six years watching football in my own capacity I seem to have tumbled on Burnley away from home on a few occasions.
"I remember seeing them at Luton and West Brom and bumping into the chairman's wife Sonya and she asked me why I had never done a home game.
"I said I ought to go to Burnley and this is the one.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's been a long time but I'm pleased I'm coming back."
A special feature with 'Motty', who recalls his last visit to the Turf, is included in Saturday's bumper 76-page match magazine Claret And You which will be on sale inside the ground before kick-off.
