ASTON VILLA v BURNLEY: Live Updates

Posted on: Sun 21 Feb 2010

A four-goal second-half blast from Carling Cup finalists Aston Villa sent the Clarets crashing to an eighth successive away defeat.

Steven Fletcher put Burnley ahead with the Clarets' first away goal since November but a disastrous 12-minute spell early in the second half scuppered their hopes of climbing out of the relegation places.

Substitute Martin Paterson scored his first goal of the season in stoppage-time.
