In the build-up to Sunday's eagerly awaited clash at Ewood Park, burnleyfootballclub.com relives derby memories of some of the key men at Turf Moor.
Steven Caldwell (Newcastle United)
Sunderland 0, Newcastle 1 (April, 2003)
"Derbies don't come more passionate than the Tyne-Wear version and I was lucky enough to play in it for both sides.
"However, the best one for me would have to be Newcastle's win at Sunderland in 2003.
"I was on the bench but came on early when Andy O'Brien got injured.
"We kept a clean sheet and won it with a penalty which Nobby (Solano) took after Alan Shearer had gone off injured.

"It was important because it kept our momentum going in a chase for a Champions League place.
"We ended up finishing third and qualified under Sir Bobby Robson."
Centre of Excellence Manager Vince Overson (Birmingham City)
Aston Villa 0, Birmingham City 2 (August, 1987)
"There was little love lost between Birmingham and Aston Villa and I had a taste of it in 1987 when Villa had a season in the old Second Division.
"We went there for their first home game of the campaign in front of a full house at Villa Park on a scorching afternoon in August.
"We won it 2-0 with goals from Tony Rees and Ian Handysides, who sadly died following a brain tumour.
"With a couple of minutes to go one of their players, Stephen Hunt, made a bad tackle on me and I did my knee ligaments which kept me out for a few weeks afterwards.
"I grabbed hold of him but thankfully only got booked and because there were only a couple of minutes left I got through the game and it was a sweet one."

Anything but the Blues for Vince Overson
