Georges-Kevin Nkoudou joined the Clarets from Tottenham Hotspur in January, 2018 in a loan deal running until the end of the season.
The pacy winger – who predominantly plays on the left – was brought in to add an extra option to manager Sean Dyche’s squad, with Robbie Brady set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury.
Nkoudou has been at Spurs since August 2016 after signing from Marseille.
The France under-21 international scored 10 times in 41 appearances in a single season at Marseille, having started his senior career with Nantes.
Born on the outskirts of Paris, Nkoudou had previously been in the youth system at Paris St-Germain.
Capped by France from under-17 to under-21 level, Nkoudou made 17 appearances for Spurs in his first season at White Hart Lane.
His eight Premier League appearances all came as a substitute and in 2017/18 he had made only one league appearance - also from the bench – prior to joining the Clarets for the opportunity of more top-flight experience.
Nkoudou had made a total of six appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side during the current campaign and started a Champions League group game against Apoel Nicosia in December, 2017, scoring one of the goals in a 3-0 win at Wembley.
