Mark Howard was appointed Head of Sports Science in February 2013. 

He joined the Clarets from Blackburn Rovers, where he occupied a similar role for four years. 

Mark has also gained valuable experience from spells at Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Coventry City and Fulham. 

He is responsible for the strength, conditioning and nutrition of the players.
