Tom Anderson has been at Burnley since the age of seven, progressing through the club’s centre of excellence and youth set-up to the senior squad.
The defender captained the Clarets’ side which reached the semi-finals of the 2011/12 FA Youth Cup, although illness forced him to miss the last-four defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
The Burnley-born centre-back signed his first professional contract at the end of that season.
And he has since gained significant experience out on loan at a number of clubs at National League, League Two and League One level.
After making his Football League debut with Carlisle United in the 2014/15 seasons, his most productive spell came during a season-long loan at Chesterfield in the 2016/17 campaign as Anderson clocked up 40 appearances for the League One side.
He was involved with the Clarets' first-team during pre-season ahead of the 2017/18 season and traveled with the squad for their opening games.
But Anderson then secured another loan move and the chance to play first-team football on transfer deadline day at the end of August when he moved to League Two side Port Vale for the rest of the season.
