Unwin joined the club in September 2019, after leaving Bury.

The wide-midfielder also played for Blackburn Rovers and Manchester United as youngster before joining the Shakers.

Unwin joined Bury midway through the 2018/19 season, before leaving the club in August 2019.

The midfielder then got his first goal for the Clarets against Everton in October 2020.
