Burnley’s U23s will host Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay Nomads at the Barnfield Training Centre in their final warm-up match on August 3rd, before kicking off the Professional Development League the following week.
The Nomads, who finished runners up in the Welsh Premier League last season, also reached the final of the league cup, before losing out to The New Saints in a 3-0 defeat.
The Filtshire side, who drew 0-0 with Aberdeen last week in a pre-season friendly, face Kilmarnock in the Europa League first qualifying round over two legs, with the first leg being played this Thursday.
Connah’s Quay Nomads are managed by former Manchester City and Blackpool defender Andy Morrison, who joined the club in 2015.
The game kicks off at 11:30am at the Clarets’ training base on Saturday 3rd August, when the first team host Italian side Parma at 3:00pm at Turf Moor later that afternoon.

The new Professional Development League season is scheduled to kick off over the same weekend as the Premier League (9-12 August), with the fixtures schedule to be released in mid-July.
