The Youth Team heads for Bolton on Saturday looking to open their 2019 win account.
Tony Philliskirk's side kicked off the new year with a 2-2 draw against league leaders Sheffield Wednesday last weekend thanks to a double from skipper Michael Fowler.
Fowler struck the leveller with an injury-time penalty following a head injury to Richard Taylor, which is expected to keep the defender out of the trip to the Eddie Davis Academy (kick-off 11am).
Taylor stepped into the back four from his normal midfield berth against the Owls and the Clarets will also be without defenders Bobby Thomas and Matty Rain against Bolton after the pair both played in the U23s' defeat to Barnsley on Saturday.
Bolton - who won 3-2 at Burnley at the end of October - are four places behind the Clarets in eighth place in the league table.
But they are through to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup and play Crystal Palace next Friday night.
