Keep your eyes on the big screen on Sunday to hear from Luke.
Luke is a Guardsman originally from Burnley, who joined the Scots Guards eight years ago.
He joined the British Army after studying an electrician’s course at college.
Growing up in Burnley, he played Saturday football in Burnley, something he has managed to continue while serving.
He regularly plays for the Scots Guards Battalion Football Team, competing against other Regiments and Battalions of the British Army and travelled internationally to play in tournaments against other militaries.
A passionate Clarets fan, Luke gets back to Turf Moor as often as possible when he’s on leave from the Army.
He loves the atmosphere on match days, the sense of pride and togetherness of the Burnley fans – it’s also one of the things he loves the most about his job in the Army – a sense of belonging and being a collective that are all striving for the same goal.
If you have considered a career in the Army, or know someone who does, there are soldiers in the fanzone today to answer any questions you may have, or just share their experiences of Army life.
If you are thinking of, or are interested in taking that step, why not speak to one of your soldiers in the fanzone on Sunday, Army Jobs or visit your local careers centre on Fishergate, Preston?
Good luck to the Clarets on Sunday, from all the soldiers.
