Scott Wilson is enjoying a productive loan spell at Stalybridge Celtic, which continued with another win at the weekend.
The Clarets’ defender, 18, moved to the Bower Fold on a 'work experience loan' in the summer and has now made 13 appearances for the Evo Stik Premier Division side.
Wilson started again last Saturday as Simon Haworth’s side secured a 2-1 win at North Ferriby United thanks to a late goal. Fifth-placed Celtic entertain league leaders Scarborough on Tuesday night.
Defender Richard Taylor (below) became the latest youngster to depart the club in a similar capacity when he joined Colne last Friday.
And the second-year scholar (below) marked his debut for the Reds with the opening goal in a 1-1 draw at Radcliffe Borough in the Evo Stik West Division the following day.
Youth-team midfielder Ethan Kershaw featured for Barnoldswick in their 2-2 draw with Irlam in the North-West Counties League but team-mate Will Harris was ineligible to feature for Nelson in the North-West Counties First Division Cup.
And striker Michael Fowler started for Padiham as they travelled to Congleton in a North-West Counties League game abandoned before half-time due to allegations of racial abuse directed at Padiham's former Clarets youth-team keeper Tony Aghayere.
