Accounts Assistant

Remuneration + benefits:

Salary dependant on experience

28 days holiday (including bank holidays)

 

Contract type:

Permanent 37.5 hours per week

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm (one hour for lunch)

Location:

Turf Moor, Harry Potts Way, Burnley, BB10 4BX

The football club is now looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to the Finance team.

This role will involve working closely with the Assistant Accountant and Financial Controller

The Accounts Assistant will be expected to:

  • Assist in the preparation of Payroll, including timesheets, expenses and mileage on a month by month basis.
  • Reconcile daily and weekly Cashiering tasks, including issuing cash and reconciling.
  • Credit Control duties
  • Various ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the organization as and when required to promote best practice.
  • To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of the job requires.
  • Promote the Burnley FC brand and ethos in a professional, strong and positive manner.
  • A commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace and a willingness to undertake all relevant equality and diversity training.

An ideal candidate will have;

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Sage payroll Professional and Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Reconciling weekly Cashiering tasks.
  • Self-motivated, trustworthy individual who is a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent IT skills including intermediate abilities in all MS Office programmes and a good knowledge of Excel.
  • Time management skills to be able to plan and regulate workload including the ability to prioritise demands and thrive under pressure.
