Preview: Leeds United U23s v Burnley U23s

11 October 2018

The development squad return to league action tomorrow (Friday), with a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United.

The Clarets will be looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat at Bournemouth in the Premier League Cup.

Left-back Ali Koiki will be back in contention for Burnley, after serving a three-match suspension.

United currently sit top of the league on 17 points from their opening nine matches in the Professional Development League.

The Yorkshire side fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Southampton last time out, in the Premier League Cup.

However, the Whites remain unbeaten at home this season.

When the two sides met last season, Burnley ran out 1-0 winners at home through Dwight McNeil’s first-half strike.

However, United edged out the Clarets 2-1 in January in the reverse fixture at Thorp Arch.

Kick off is 1:00pm at Elland Road.

Live updates will be available throughout the match on Twitter (@BurnleyOfficial) followed by reaction and report.
