Book Launch On Wednesday: Complete Clarets Collection

23 October 2018

The official launch of a brand new official Burnley FC publication takes place at Turf Moor on Wednesday evening.

The Complete Clarets Collection 1882 – 2018

By Ray Simpson and Wallace Chadwick

The launch will take place in the James Hargreaves Stand at Turf Moor, on Wednesday, 24 October 2018, from 7.15pm. Supper will be provided.

Please note that due to ongoing groundworks, all pedestrian and vehicle access for this event will be via Ormerod Yard, accessed off Belvedere Road.

All pre-publication subscribers are invited to the launch to collect their special numbered copy, which has been personally signed by both authors.

It is very important that subscribers bring along their printed acknowledgement which incorporates their unique number.

Un-numbered copies will also be available to purchase on the night of the launch from Burnley FC staff

We hope that a number of ex Clarets will attend the launch to sign autographs and general mingle with the fans.

This new book provides a detailed profile of every player who has appeared in a senior competitive first-team game for Burnley Football Club since the club’s formation in 1882 to the end of season 2017-18.

In total, more than 1,000 players are featured, together with every manager who has occupied the Turf Moor hot seat.

The work has been jointly compiled by recently-retired Burnley FC Historian Ray Simpson, author of several books on the history of the Clarets, and his regular associate Wallace Chadwick. Both men were part of the editorial team behind “The Clarets Chronicles”, published in 2007.

Between them the pair can boast more than a century of support for their local club.

This latest book is published by the authors, on behalf of Burnley FC, and is produced locally, printed by Peter Scott Printers Ltd of Burnley.

Subscribers copies which are not collected on the night of the launch will be delivered or posted out as soon as possible afterwards.
