The two Turf Moor trophy cabinets are to be relocated as part of a move to increase the corporate offering at the club.
As part of the summer redevelopment programme, the current Harry Potts and Dr Ivan Lounges, situated within the Bob Lord Stand, are being combined into one larger area to offer more VIP packages next season.
And with it comes a new way of showcasing the club’s historical memorabilia and growing haul of trophies.
Stadium and Operations manager Doug Metcalfe explained: “Because of our status, we need more seats and more corporate areas, so we are having to do some alterations within the existing infrastructure.
“The wall between the Harry Potts and Dr Iven lounges is coming down and that will create one big area that can still be partitioned off on non-matchdays, but will be a big lounge for around 200 people.
“That will need the two trophy cabinets to be relocated - and with this room almost being a mini-museum, we are hoping to display as much of our memorabilia as we can.
“To that end, there will be a full run of trophy cabinets down one wall, and we will try to intersperse some of our more memorable pieces of silverware throughout the room in different ways.”
The changes will see the current Directors’ Box extended to accommodate the new corporate guests.
