The Clarets face a Good Friday trip to Sheffield United as they continue their bid to climb off the foot of the U23 Professional Development League.
Michael Duff’s side has hit a late run of form, with three wins from their last five games.
And another success in South Yorkshire could get them within a point of Barnsley in 10th spot in the northern section.
The Tykes are also in the steel city on Friday, playing at Sheffield Wednesday (kick-off 11am).
Burnley then play United at Stocksbridge Park Steels later (kick-off 2pm) with Duff looking to gauge his side’s progress since a 6-1 beating by the Blades – who are sixth in the table – in October.
“Ultimately you are judged on games. The last time we played Sheffield United we got a bit of a do-ing, so we will see on Friday whether we have come on any more,” said the under-23s boss.
