Sam Vokes scored twice on Thursday and got two assists as Wales beat China 6-0 in the China Cup. In today’s game against Uruguay, he was substituted after 67 minutes as the Welsh lost 1-0 to Uruguay in the final.

Jeff Hendrick played 80 minutes as Republic of Ireland lost 1-0 in Turkey, while Kevin Long played the full 90.

Over in Mexico, Johann Berg Gudmundsson took part in a 3-0 defeat with Iceland, playing for 81 minutes before being substituted.

James Tarkowksi could feature could feature in Gareth Southgate’s plans tomorrow as England host Italy. Nick Pope is also in the squad, although Southgate has indicated he will be starting with Stoke’s Jack Butland in goal.

Meanwhile on U21 duties, Conor Mitchell was part of the Northern Ireland side which lost 5-3 to Spain in its UEFA Euro U21 qualifier on Thursday, and could be in contention to start tonight against Ireland. 

Jimmy Dunne, currently on-loan, at Accrington Stanley, could feature for Republic of Ireland U21s tomorrow when they welcome Azerbaijan.
