On-loan defender Jimmy Dunne has been nominated for the League Two February player-of-the-month award.
The Clarets’ centre-back has been short-listed thanks to his performances with promotion-chasing Accrington Stanley.
Dunne joined the Reds in January on a loan deal running until the end of the season.
And the 20-year-old – who spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Barrow - has thrived on his first taste of League Football.
Dunne has made eight appearances for John Coleman’s side and started every game in February as Stanley went through the month unbeaten.
Five wins in six games lifted Accrington into second place in League Two ahead of tonight’s Lancashire derby at home to Morecambe.
Dunne has been nominated alongside Swindon Town striker Marc Richards, Cheltenham Town forward Mohamed Eisa and Carlisle United midfielder Jamie Devitt.
Coleman has also been short-listed for the manager’s award, with the winners to be announced on Friday.
