The development squad continued their pre-season schedule with a 6-0 win over Chivas.
A second-half hat-trick from Ntumba Massanka, a strike from a trialist and Tinashe Chakwana and an own goal was enough for the Clarets to see off the visitors.
Burnley started the game brightly and came close through James Clarke, his effort sailing just wide of the post following Marley Blair’s free-kick.
Ed Cook the came close for the Clarets, his back-post header fizzing just narrowly wide.
A goalless first-half then saw the introduction of Ali Koiki, Ntumba Massanka and Jordan Cropper.
Massanka made an instant impact as he grabbed his first goal of the afternoon, a cool strike from just outside the box.
Minutes later Burnley had a second, Massanka this time poking home Koiki’s cross from close range.
And with 58 minutes gone, the Clarets had a third as Massanka crossed into the area, only for a Chivas defender to turn the ball home.
Massanka then sealed his hat-trick with 20 minutes to go, curling home a delightful free-kick on the edge of the area.
Shortly after, a trialist for the Clarets slotted home the fifth of the afternoon.
With seconds to go Chawkana rounded off the win with a neat finish from close range.
Trialist, Clarke, Glennon, N’Guessan, Cook, Wilson, Bayode (Cropper HT), Benson, Harker, Chakwana (Koiki HT), Blair (Massanka HT).
