Luke Hendrie has left Turf Moor to join League One promotion-chasers Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee.
The defender, 23, has agreed an 18-month deal at the New Meadow.
Hendrie spent the first half of the season in League One with Bradford City, making 18 appearances on loan for the Bantams.
The former Manchester United and Derby County youngster has also had loan spells with Hartlepool United, York City and Kilmarnock since joining the Clarets from Derby in August, 2015.
Hendrie now gets the chance to further his career with the Shrews as they seek to return to Championship level for the first time since 1989.
“Hopefully there will be a lot of success, but that will come with hard work, so I just want to work hard first and foremost and see where it takes me”, Hendrie told the Shrews' website.
“The lads are playing really well and long may that continue. The manager has great ambition and I’m an ambitious player as well, so he matches my ambition and I can’t wait to get going.
“My past few moves have been on-loan and it can be difficult sometimes because you never know how long you are going to be there for, but I’m happy to get it sorted and I know now for the next 18-months that I will be here with Shrewsbury.”
