The Clarets’ under-23s kick off a run of five games in three weeks with a trip to face Huddersfield Town at their PPG Canalside training ground on Monday afternoon (kick-off 1pm).
The trip along the M62 to face the Terriers is the first of three Professional Development League games in February for Michael Duff’s side.
And the Clarets also play their final two group games in the PL Cup as they look to book their place in the last 16, with the first up a long-distance visit to Colchester United on Friday night.
League points are up for grabs first, though, as bottom club Burnley look to get back to winning ways in only their second fixture in the competition since November.
Duff’s side has lost its last two league games but will be looking to build on the form of their excellent PL Cup victory at Swansea last time out.
Huddersfield, coached by ex-Town defender Mark Hudson, are ninth in the table, two places and five points better off than Burnley.
The two sides drew 3-3 at Turf Moor in November with Dwight McNeil scoring twice for the Clarets.
