Danny Cadamarteri's side travel to Essex for their second league game of the season, after last weekend's opening day victory over Charlton.
The young Clarets face the U’s this Saturday in their second fixture of the U18 Professional Development League.
Cadamarteri’s side got off to a dream start last weekend, beating defending champions Charlton Athletic at the Barnfield Training Centre.
United fell to a 5-0 defeat last weekend away to Cardiff City in their opening league fixture.
However, vice-captain Ethan Kershaw knows the Clarets can’t get carried away and must take it one game at a time.
“I think it’s a great start to the season, all the boys worked really hard and especially against last season’s winners it was a strong performance and I think we can take that into this weekend’s game away at Colchester” said the midfielder.
“However, I think there are things we could improve on, pick up on the basics as in the last game there was a few sloppy chances where they could have gone on and probably nicked a goal from it, but I think if we do everything properly and focus and concentrate then we should be alright” Kershaw added.
The game kicks off at 11:00am at Florence Park (Colchester United’s Training Ground).
Live Twitter updates will be available throughout the game on @Burnleyofficial followed by a report.
