Under-23s Back At Turf

Michael Duff's side faces in-form Crewe Alexandra

6 April 2018

The Under-23s return to Turf Moor this afternoon (Friday) to take on Crewe Alexandra in the Professional Development League (KO 2pm) and kick-off a busy April.

Michael Duff’s side faces six games in their final month of the campaign and will be looking to start the run with a seventh win of the season.

The Clarets beat QPR 3-1 in their last game at Turf Moor before losing 1-0 at Sheffield United a week ago today when striker Jon Walters made his return from injury.

And three wins in their last six games have given the Clarets a chance of climbing off bottom spot in the northern division in their first season in the league.

Oliver Young is among the young players likely to feature after signing his first professional contract at Burnley on Thursday.

Crewe have moved up to eighth place in the table on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run.

The Bob Lord Stand will be open for the game with season ticket holders gaining free admission on production of their season ticket card.

Otherwise, admission is £4 adults and £2 concessions with all tickets to be bought before kick-off at the ticket office. There will be no cash turnstiles in operation.
