Conor Mitchell has been named in Northern Ireland’s under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier against Estonia next month.
The Clarets’ goalkeeper has started all three of Ireland’s games in Group 2 so far, conceding just two goals and helping Ian Baraclough’s side collect six points to sit second in the table.
They now face Estonia at Mourneview Park in Lurgan on Tuesday, 10 October, looking to build on their positive start and challenge for a place in the tournament finals in Italy in 2019.
Harry Limb joined the Clarets last season from Wisbech Town
Mitchell, 21, is currently on loan at Chester FC and has made seven appearances for the National League side this season.
Meanwhile, Development Squad striker Harry Limb has also been called up by Northern Ireland for three matches in the qualifying round of the European Under-19 Championships.
The Clarets’ teenager will travel to Poland for matches against Poland on 4 October, Germany on 7 October and Belarus on 10 October.
