Youths Aim To Tame Terriers

Clarets aim to get back to winning ways against Huddersfield

27 October 2017

The Clarets’ youth team takes on Huddersfield Town on Saturday with possible top spot in the league up for grabs.

The two sides are level on points in the northern group of the U18 Youth Development League – a point behind Nottingham Forest, who are away to Barnsley.

Danny Cadamarteri’s Burnley are looking to get back to winning ways after three games without a win against the club when he spent two years as a player and worked for a spell in their Academy set-up.

The Terriers, coached by former Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Leeds United centre-back Leigh Bromby, come into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over the Owls.

The Clarets are without Ollie Younger, Dwight McNeil, Leighton Egan and Scott Wilson, who are training with the under-23s ahead of their game at Crewe Alexandra on Monday.

Kick-off at the Barnfield Training Centre is at 11am.

Burnley: Bruce, Clarke, Kozi, Kershaw, Moss, Thomas, Yari, Mupariwa, Cropper, Fowler, Harris. Substitutes: Calderbank-Park, Samms, Jumeau, Major, Taylor.
